Wild, Wild Gadgets

31 Jul

It’s alright to get lost in someone else’s mansion, in a mall, and even in a city. What’s not is to find yourself walking alone, surrounded by everything green and stumbling on mud (if it is really mud you’ve dive in on). Man, you’re lost! What the heck did you do to get from the house party you hosted to the woods where no one can hear you, much less know you’re gone? Now you don’t want that to happen and miss out on all the fun right?

Listen to what I have to say for a little bit longer and maybe I could just save you from the impending misery of getting lost in the wild woods.

  • Yellow Jacket iPhone Case. This cell phone case is the one case you want your iPhone to fit in. Why? Protection. The Yellow Jacket was not made for phones, but for the phone user. This protective case is jammed with a magnifying 650K volt stun gun and a battery pack that allows you more or less twenty hours of battery time. With the Yellow Jacket phone case, you can stun the ferocious creatures you might meet. The extra battery can shoulder you once you get to an area with reception. If you are not the klutz I believe you to be, the shocking jolt this phone case delivers should not be a problem. Otherwise, there is a special cap and switch made entirely for that purpose, so I guess you’ll be alright.

  • Seiko Astron. An accessory for the body that’s gives you more than just time. It helps you find your way back home, or at the very least, your home finds you before you are gnawed to pieces by the monsters of the wild. The Seiko Astron is the world’s first GPS and solar watch. It’s the watch that does not need any battery, well it needs light to function, but I’m sure you’ll find a way to the light before time runs out…ha! Anyway, the Astron accurately adjusts itself to the time zone you are in with a simple press of a button.

  • NDuR Survival Straw. It is rigged to suit your drinking needs, wherever you are. This straw works its magic by filtering the good and removing the bad whenever you wish to have a sip of nature’s water. It’s the only thing that can keep you alive for the length of time you’ll be alone in the dark with no one! Okay, that’s too much I guess. Anyhow, the NDuR Survival Straw is a portable filtration tool, removing unwanted substances in your drink, so you could enjoy the sparkling liquid and have yourself a healthy fill of oxygen.

  • Altoids USB Charger.  If you’re up for it, this little guy might be the very best gadget you’ll ever own. Why? Aside from having the rights to call it your own, it won’t “charge” you anything! Well, that’s because it is intended to charge your mobile phone and not you. All you need are two double-A battery holders, a charging circuit, two rechargeable batteries, a 1N914 Blocking diode, a solar cell (>4V), a stranded wire, tape, and Altoids tin. You can get all these parts at any electronics store near you. This super USB charger will only cost you $20 or less if you do it right. So, go ahead and indulge yourself in the beauty of DIY!

No more crying and budging. You’ll get by for twenty-four hours with these nifty wild gadgets.
